ABOUT ME - Charles Winslow Photography


You may not know his name; however, you most likely know his work. With more than 30 years of professional photography and design experience under his belt, Charles W. Winslow has photographed the likes of Heidi Klum, Angelina Jolie, Jay-Z, Spike Lee and others for their own personal and private use. Winslow also was the ORIGINAL poster designer for the movie “Twilight.” Winslow has completed contracts with Sony Records, and Loyd Records, as well as worked with images of models, actors and musicians including Alicia Keys, Purpos, and Chyna Layne from the movie “Precious”, among others, assistant behind the scenes photographer for "Barbershop 3", The Walking Dead, and Netflix. Also working as a sports photographer, Charles has provided photography for NASCAR, the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NCAA Sports. Charles WInslow not only held the position as Senior Photographer for the NFL, he is the very first and only Black American to hold that position to date. Shooting  also for Getty, Associate Press, Sports Illustrated, and other wire services. In 2014 Charles Winslow was awarded the New York Times Photographer of the Year, and the first African American in history to ever hold the award. Other projects include 47 book covers including 11 best sellers including: “Night” by Elie Wiesel and “The Love You Crave,” by John Locke (The first self-published author to sell more than a million eBooks on Amazon). Also recently designed covers for best selling author Melissa Foster which will be published soon, as well as from author Cecilia T. Capers. As a US Army War Veteran serving as a US Army Infantry Ranger, Winslow also is a frequent photographer for the United States Military; his most recent assignment was photographing the U.S. Navy aboard the USS George H.W. Bush Aircraft Carrier and working for the US Army as a staff photographer. He also returned to Kuwait and Iraq and contracted as a (Forensic Photographer) Military Combat Photographer for the Department of Defense. Charles Winslow served as a Senior Photographer for the National Football League, and The Eastern Conference Director of Photography for the Legends Football League. Currently Charles not only provides photography for major sporting events, and the NCAA, he is the current Director of Photography for several sports magazines published both in the USA and Europe. An international awarding winning artist with 43 awards in Europe, 2 in Asia, 2 in Australia, and 51 in the United States, Winslow’s work has been published in 21 books, 33 magazines, and in 16 major newspapers in the United States and Europe since Nov 2018.  The latest project is The new upcoming Walking Dead spinoff to be shot in Virginia in summer 2019, and to continue supporting Ice Cube in the Big3 NBA basketball league 2019.
